Help Battery 4 Driod Maxx Still SUCKS

Have only had my Maxx for a short time, but I have already found out that there is a lot of reserve power when the battery reads low. Mine was at 15% and I was attempting to drain it. I launched a YouTube video for 50 minutes off of WiFi and when it finished, the battery then read 10%.

Agree the battery does not drain as fast at least for me anyway it is hours going from 20% down until it tells me to plug in the charger.

I charged to 100% 30 hours ago. Have had GPS turned on the entire time. Have had 4G / WiFi turned on the entire time. Have sent 25-30 texts. Checked email several times. Browsed the web several times. Made 2 phone calls of 30 and 45 minutes. Installed a couple of apps and updated 4 or 5 more. Ran the flashlight app last night for 5 minutes. Do not have a battery manager app installed yet.

Battery is still at 60%.

You may want to save that Maxx and put it on a shelf. You've obviously have the only Maxx that has super-duper battery capabilities, above all other Maxx'es. With all due respect, I think you're exaggerating a bit.

I am not exaggerating at all. I am reporting exactly what I am experiencing.

It has now been 17 hours since I posted my last report. 47 hours since I charged to 100%. Since the last post I have surfed the web several times, sent several more texts, made 3 more phone calls, of about 10-20 minutes each, run several apps, and didn't shut down any services overnight.

Just checked my battery and I am now at 30%.

Like I said, put it in a showcase, because you have a one-of-a-kind phone, based on the activity you've said you peformed since your last charge.

The battery report is as follows:

Running 52 hours 18 minutes

Voice Calls 34% 2h 24m
Android OS 20% CPU 3h 6m
Wi-Fi 18% 2d 4h 18m
Display 12% (I've been running on Auto)
Phone Idle 7%
Cell Standby 6%
Facebook 3%

Battery Level Remaining 15%

Well, for the sake of completeness, I made it to 59 hours, going to 5% at 58 hours, before I plugged it into the charger. It was still going but I didn't want it to shut down. I didn't use it very heavily over the last 7 hours, but I left Wi-Fi on, sent & received about 10 texts, and talked on the phone for 20-25 minutes.

My maxx doesn't run nearly as good as what some people say, however if I leave wifi on i can make it probably 1.5 ish days. For me personally wifi saves a ton of battery cause I'm always around a network.

Running stock/rooted ICS .209:

1d 5h 44m 19s on battery

Screen time on: 5h 3m 3s
Voice calls: 1h 24m 50s
Android OS: CPU Total 1h 34m 41s / Keep awake 37m 15s

I've had WiFi on the whole time, and with the exception of an hour or so I was at Walmart, I was actually connected to my router. 4G on the whole time. I always leave GPS, sync, background data, etc turned on.

Stock battery settings show 40% battery remaining. According to SystemPanel Lite I actually have 37% battery remaining.

Everyone's battery experience is dependent upon usage, signal strength, etc, but my experience has been amazing. Love this phone.

DISCLAIMER: I did put my phone on the charging dock last night for just about 4 minutes, during which time I doubt I gained even a percent in battery. You can see just a single blip on the charging category.

Wow that really makes me look forward to getting ICS on this phone. I use my screen just a little longer than you, everything else the same, and I get about 22 hours on a battery running the phone bone stock from VZW.

If you are travelling you will need to manage your battery. I'm at 80% after 8 hours just sitting in my office. But when I was on the road the other day going from 4g to no service and back again, my battery was drained to the red in less than 6 hours. If I don't leave town or I stay in LTE areas (airport to airport) I get great battery life compared to the DX.
