This battery app i have called battery doctor has a feature where it tells you not to charge unless your below 20% and not to take off till 100
.what harkens if you stop before that and unplug at 90? Can you damage batty that way?

No, the charging circuits are built in to the phone's hardware. You cannot change how the phone charges.
