Help Battery bulged,help

Hey guys,
My galaxy ace battery has bulged slightly. When i keep it on charge, I get the unplug charger notification very quickly, like around 30-45 min if charging from empty. And it drains very quickly,a 10 min gprs browsing or couple of flash photos,it gets below 15%.
So should I get a new one?
Help please.

Oh wow explode? omg..but i have been charging it since 10 days or so..and I will have to wait a couple of days before buying a new one....
Why do you think it has bulged? I used to leave it on charge the whole night,is this the reason?
And please tell me whether there is a 1500mAh battery for ace ?

Yes, that's a defective battery, replace it immediately.
Also, charging overnight is not required, this battery can charge from 0 to 100 in just 2 hours. Li ion batteries must never be overcharged, although there must be a charging limiter built into the phone, but there is no reason to take unnecessary risk.

Okay got a new one. It was getting too big.
But how do you think it happened so that I can be careful with this one. It cannot be defective since it was fine for 1.5 years? Samsung guy said because of excessive charging.
Your opinions?

You got a good service life from it,I just had my old Motorola droid x battery do the same thing. It swelled up and almost broke the phone... heat and vibration is the biggest killer of batteries after overcharging..
