Battery Calibration?

I've read about this in another forum and was wondering if anyone has attempted this. Go to data/system and delete “batterystats.bin” after you have charged your phone to 100% and run it to 0% to calibrate. I was wondering if anyone has done this and is it the same thing as going to clockwork and clearing Battery stats.

There is a app made just for this I found. It's called "Battery Calibration" and I've already noticed a better battery life.

what about using voltage base reading ? I have an extended battery and i use an app developed by simmo and use volt based readings
