Help Battery Charged?

I know there are numerous topics related to this, but unfortunately the answers aren't all clear due to different phones, different versions of Android, also most seem to be wanting to disable the notifications.

Just got my phone a few days back. Galaxy Apollo I5800L

Here's the thing... How do I know when my battery is fully charged? Is there a notification of any sort? and if so what is it?

So far I see 3 things, up in the status/notification bar there's the battery life icon. When charging it is animaged, it eventually stops. Even those this may stop animating, if I go into my phone status, it says it's Charging and is 80% 90% or 100%.

If i turn off my phone, i get that large battery with the green indication of charge level.

Am I missing anythign else? No sounds? No visual notifications?

Any and all information would be appreciated.

And please don't just say "Get this app", I would like to know if there is anything already on the phone to do this and if so why I may not be being notified. In the end I would prefer to not install an app for something that the phone should be doing already, but will if I decide I must.

Okay answered my own question.

Had the phone plugged in here infront of me and even though phone status said the battery level was 100% the status said charging. I left it plugged in and just got an audio and visual notification that the charging was complete and battery was full. IT also says to unplug the charger.

So I have 2 questions now...

1) Will there be such notifications when the phone is powered off and is charging?

2) I assume there is a redundancy in place to stop charging when full and not damage the battery. Can anyone confirm this?

try it out... of course you can leave it charging without overcharging. havent yet seen a phone with that problem, unless its damaged!

Yes you get a notification when it's off and finished charging.

And yes Lithium Ion batteries stop charging after the battery is full and simple run off A/C after the battery is full.

Hi,

I always check the battery any moment of time by below command without any application installed.

On DialPad Please type

*#*#4636#*#*

Then Menue will come in that select the Battery Information
in which whole battery related information will display.
I hope Ur query shld resolve.
