Help Battery Charges upto 50% only??

Hi. This is a bit difficult for me to follow so please guys i need your help on this one! i have an xperia z1 and it's working well until yesterday. I plugged it in my charger as usual but it only charged upto 50% only. I tried the power off and up volume thing but nothing happens. It stays only upto 50% and doesn't exceed even though i left it for 2 hours. Is there a setting option that sets the charge limit? Maybe i just accidentally activated something regarding the battery usage? please help! it's my work phone i need it 24/7.

There's no option that stops charging at a certain level, sorry.

I take it you're using the supplied Sony charger and you're doing it from the mains, not via USB and a PC?
