The Doctor
Ok so did my test again to show you my results.
Phone: Galaxy S7 Edge, Dual SIM version with Exynos.
Fully charged phone, location, background data, WiFi and data turned on. Sync turned on but managed via Green Power.
Screen brightness at 50% on auto.
Read an ebook for 19min (the chapter was engrossing, lol. Finished it before I realized I took more than 15min)
Results:
The only difference I can see is that I'm using Bookari instead of Moon. I doubt GreenPower has anything to do with it. It's just running to manage autosync and wifi connection.
My phone is not hot at all. Hardly any change in temp. So the question probably would be how is the ambient temp in your place (I'm in an airconditioned room), and maybe you can test using a similar app set as to what I have.
Are you sure that you have the Exynos version? The SnapDragon version (USA and Canada models) is less efficient in battery consumption, plus the last update (April) had a battery consumption bug, where it's using up battery more. The update next month would ideally fix it. On GSMArena battery endurance test, the Exynos was rated to last 98h, while the Snapdragon at just 87h. This was before the battery bug.
