Help Battery cutoff voltage

I was very unimpressed with my DRMs battery so I did some research into Li-Ion batteries and installed the System Monitor app on my phone as well. I discovered a Li-Ion battery has a cutoff voltage normally in the range of 2.7 - 3.0 volts. However, mine is cutting off at around 3.6 volts, leaving about a days worth of power unused. This explains why I was getting only about 1 day of use out of a full charge.

Do I have a defective battery or will this improve over time? I have had my phone since February 16th.

The cutoff voltage will depend on the specific phone. The typical cutoff voltage may or may not be applicable to the Razr Maxx or any other type of phone. Unless you can find someplace that mentions the actual spec for the phone, don't get too worked up about that.

It couldn't hurt to recalibrate the phone. Let it drain all the way till it dies, then charge it completely (preferably while off). Once it's fully charged, power it up and take it off the charger, let it drain a little then charge it again.

And do you really need more than one day out of a charge?

Yea I tried that and did notice some improvement in performance, up to 35 hrs with moderate use. After reading so many reviews claiming as much as 66 hrs run time on a single charge, was concerned I wasn't seeing anything close to that even with very close monitoring and control of running features and apps.
