Help Battery died phone is a brick.

Okay so my battery died and now my phone won't turn on. This happened once before and I switched batteries with my girlfriend and it fixed it. This time, no dice. It won't boot into recovery. When I press the power button absolutely nothing happens. Is there a fix for this? Or do I now own a $250 paper weight? It should still be under factory warranty right? I would rather find a fix than dealing with the run around from cricket. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry to hear that. It should still be covered under warranty, but dealing with cricket seems to be hit and miss depending on the dealer. Take it to a corporate store, be polite but firm, and escalate up the ladder if they give you a hassle. Persistence usually pays off, but yeah, might be a huge pain in the ass. Good luck, maybe you'll be lucky and get one of the Cricket dealers that actually cares. I would also try calling Cricket customer service and see if they have any advice.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet? I am having the exact same problem, however, mine happened after an ics update i was told to put on my phone by some advice i was getting on a different forum site after i though it was bricked in the first place. I was stuck on the blue screen, but yet i could get to the pink download screen, however, i was told this update was guaranteed to fix it, NOT!
I been trying everything, have been without my phone for over three weeks now, but definitely since the update foe 48 hours since the phone has done nothing. Will not boot up, turn on, had that red light at the top right when plugged in, no longer there. Its been just a dead paper weight since this dang update. Can anyone help me, please! I cannot go out and purchase a brand new phone, and for Cricket, well they are a whole other story. I actually should have had insurance on this phone, added it when i got the phone, they also been collecting the extra $5.00 per month for the insurance, come to find out now that i really need it they said i do not have insurance, after pleading and arguing with them all they could do is apply a 100.00 credit towards my bill and 50.00 towards a brand new phone, however everyone knows that cricket stores do not carry any phones under $150.00. that's about how much my oldest daughter paid for this mercury for me. She paid exactly $150.00 as a present for me, So this phone actually has some sentimental value as well, and just don't want to give up on it just yet, certainly do not want to let it go, aint ready to do that yet!

Hi, welcome to the forums. Sorry, but I don't think there's much you can do if the phone won't power on. If you could get to the pink screen you could probably save it. I see you've already been over to Cricketusers, so I don't know what else to suggest. I just had a look at the Cricket website and they actually do have quite a few phones for less than $150.

Best of luck, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
