The last couple of days I've been noticing my phones battery drain fast as a matter of fact this morning around 3a.m. I saw my phone was fully charged so I removed it from the charger. At 6:30 the phone was completely dead AND I lost my temp root(quick fix though). I cant see why my battery drains so quick other than earlier my phone was stuck in wireless tether. I would have to go to the manage apps settting and force stop the wireless tether. Any feed back would be appreciated

naw it wasnt searching for service i going to pay attention to what apps are running at night when i lay it down for the night. I use friendcaster for facebook and the notifications create a pop up on the screen it could have been that but at that I think that's still pretty quick for a battery to drain

I would suggest using spare parts to see what is causing a problem, but last I knew it didn't work with gingerbread (at least for me) You can try and see if it will tell you anything, but no promises.... And it seems like a reboot would help the issue, but since it hasn't I think you have a rogue app. Maybe delete the last one you downloaded and if that doesn't help keep moving on down the list newest to oldest until you figure it out....

On a related note, my 5-day-old Shift with not a whole lot done to it gets a FC every time I try to go into the battery history on Spare Parts. Anyone else experience this?

This is exactly what i'm talking about that it doesn't work with gingerbread. I haven't been able to use the battery history either. It is a known issue.

Doesn't charging your phone overnight drain battery life?

Letting it sit on the charger after it's fully charged drains it slightly. You can see this if you unplug it and it drops very quickly by 2%-10%. I usually just plug it back it until it's full again and then unplug it and it's good.
