Help Battery drain and wakelock question

Hi guys!

Good to be here along with other LG2 users.
Could you please help me with my issue. I don't think I get the most out of my battery life and I do have some questions:

1) I was playing Fruit Ninja and after just 10 mins I noticed my brightness decreased because of phone being hot. Could protective case result in phone overheating ? I have good case which I really like (PureGear Dualtek) And could protective case be reason battery is draining?

2)Do you guys use any battery saver apps or it is not necessary to have one on the phone? I have Battery Doctor. Decided to install it after reading users reviews about this app extending battery life.

3)And 3-rd question based on screenshots. Could you please tell me if my Awake time is normal? Also I'm concerned about System Manager Application which shows 7m 12s x231 as you can see from screenshot. Is there any way I can disable it? I was only able to force it to stop. I read here on this forum and this is collecting info for diagnostic or something. There is one other screenshot when I switched to Advanced Mode of Wakelock detector, which shows even higher numbers on some other things running.

Do you think there is something wrong with the battery drain?
I can tell you, that I fully charged it yesterday evening and when going to sleep at about 12 at night I saw it was showing 82% (I just did a bit of web browsing, basically that's it). When I woke up it was showing 76% I think, and now it's 2:30 PM and I have 44% left...as I typed 42.
Have LG2 for only a week. Is this a normal behavior?

Sorry for lots of writing. I'm just really trying to find a solution.
Thank you guys! Have a great day!

The battery life seems OK to me.
I wouldn't get caught up in the #'s & %'s.
The only one that matters is overall battery life.

If you're making it through the day & still have life left, what more is needed?

BTW, your pix are spamming........

Thank you for your reply!
Wasn't sure how to post pictures, sorry

Just to be clear, the pictures themselves are OK,but, the service you're using is spamming their site.......

Anyway, enough about that. You seem to be know your way around electronics/etc...

I understand your concerns regarding battery life.At one time in the not too distant past, most ANDROID phones had horrible battery life.I had a couple phones to experiece it myself & went about just as you have, looking for solutions.

In the end, most are counterproductive, especially true now.

Using a battery stat gathering app is a good tool to have, battery savers, ditch 'em.

So true. Most of those battery saving apps do more harm than good now a days. The only one i still use is Watchdog because it tells me if a specific app is misbehaving.
