Battery Drain Issue - Try This

This thread is relevant to my interest

Subbed for future tweaks, just bought my second nexus and everything is perfect so far with the battery on this one, I will wait and see for a few days before I try any other tweaks

not sure I understand why these two sounds would drain battery? I.e., do you guys think its a bug, or those sounds are really a major drain?!

I think there is a bug where it's re-reading and decoding the sound file for every "click" -- this would explain the delay in the sound also, and would cause unnecessary battery drain.

But really, I mostly guessing. But it sounds logical to me in my head :D

This is why I held out on going back to Android until I could get a Nexus device on Verizon. So much support and people are already finding fixes for the shortcomings. Also to followup on my battery post from last night, im at 43% left on 20 hours on battery and 2 hours 43 minutes of screen time!!

maybe this is why i haven't had some of the battery issues others have complained of. the first thing i do when i get a new phone is uncheck everything like this (which i did these when i first got the nexus).

the other thing that bothers me is the shutter sound on cameras, still can't find a setting to turn that off yet.
