Help Battery drain under CM10

The 03/04 build of CM10 should give you about 3-4 ma drain during sleep (i.e, unplugged with screen off).

I have been getting great results with this build and using the wifi off when sleeping setting. I would say my battery life is on par with WebOS now. Way better than CM9 was.

I don't have any stats to back up my claims, but the difference is significant!

I'll agree, the new CM10 has great battery life compared with earlier versions, and even CM9. It used to be that if I kept my TP off my Touchstone overnight, the battery would be have little charge left the next day, typically 30% or less. Now, if I leave it off the Touchstone overnight it still has most of its charge (even after my use from the night before).

I have a test TP that's been 99% sleeping for the 3 days, 18 hours and is still at 83%. Most of the time it's been about 5-6 ma. It has no email accounts tho.

Just an FYI, J.C. Sullins has released a test version of CM9 with the same battery saving code included. You will find it in his preview folder on goo.im. Use the 03/18 rom.

Stupid question: Why would one want to still be running CM9 when CM10 is seemingly so stable?

Some people have not made the transition (don't update often or rely on others to update them) or need things like Flash, which doesn't work well in CM10.

I browse the Internet and found the issue

The issue is Wi-Fi and mobile network location

When it is on in this version it turn on the Wi-Fi not only on GPS request and No GPS status

You need to shout it down and issue solved

To change this setting:

System Settings -> Location access and disable the "Wi-Fi mobile network location"
