Help Battery Drain while streaming music thru car stereo via BT

I have this strange problem and have tested it out thrice. Whenever I stream music via BT over my car stereo my battery seems to drain out faster.
For eg I play music for an hour close the app and still see that the app is open on the task manager. I exit the app via the task manager, and i have a media server running in the background in the battery status which is normally a 2%. Over the last couple of occassions, this has shot up to 22% and my battery fell rapidly to 14% from a charge level of 77% over a matter of a few hours, with the phone in idle state.

Any assistance in this regard would be helpful...

Was voice command anywhere in your battery usage? I've had problems with this app killing my battery when connected to bluetooth before.

Me too stetslatt. You have to force close it and then clear the RAM to try and make sure it doesn't restart on its own. And then if that doesn't work, have to reboot.

Not all the time though. Sometimes it behaves. But I find that voice command to be a fad since I can do a lot of things way more accurate and faster without it.

Using the default task manager, and the problem gets solved once i restart the phone, but not the ideal solution as it is bit annoying to restart it every day after listing to 1 hr of music.
The voice command too had similar problems and now i have forced closed the app.

Yesterday it happened again. Transferred a couple of songs via BT to a Galaxy S, and the battery started to fall again. Media server on the batter usage screen displayed 22%. Had to restart the phone...Very annoying..
