Help Battery Drain

I have recently been having a battery drain issue. It looks like the culprit might be Android OS itself. When I look in battery usage, it's at the top, along with google play services. The Android os is showing "keep awake 4h 19m". This seems to be awfully excessive. My device is basically staying awake the entire day.

I am experiencing the same problem, and turns out Google Contact Sync is the main culprit.
Is there a way to autosync only on wifi?
