Help Battery drain

Hi all. I have a Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7105) on the latest Samsung ROM.

Battery life has been very poor over the last few days and I've noticed there processes using 21% CPU all the time. "Search applications provider, User dictionary and Contacts storage. I've stopped them and also rebooted the phone but they just come back and hog the CPU again.

Any suggestions?

Before I went nuts and bought a new phone I did a factory reset (I was hoping to avoid it) and that solved the issue.

Reminds me of reinstalling the OS on my notebook every 6 months
