My droid used to last almost 2 days before I would have to charge it. Now it lasts 6 hrs. I always check settings, applications,manage applications, running programs and running services and I delete almost every program. Still drains w/in 6 hrs with almost no programs running. What is going on. My phone is over 2 years old now, maybe it's just old?

Yep, your suspicions about the battery's age seem right on, as most Lithium-Ion batteries for these smart phones won't last and deliver full capacity much beyond a year with moderate usage.
It may be time to replace it, as it could be reaching the end of its charge cycle life.
Two days was pretty good, though, even with light usage. Mine is about that in an X2 with moderate use, and I'm happy with it.
