Battery Draining Quickly

I was experiencing very fast battery drain while my Galaxy S Blaze was sitting idle. I attributed this to the battery being worn out. So I ordered a new OEM battery. It arrived and the problem continued with the same degree of quick drainage. I left it for a timed 2 hours after a reboot and checked it. It had dropped from 92% to 72%. While doing nothing. All apps were closed. 58% of the drainage came from "Cell standby" and 26% came from "Phone idle". The rest came from small processes such as "Phone" and "Android Systems". In my opinion, this is an unacceptable amount of battery draining in 2 hours. Is there any way to reduce this?

Unless you're not getting any cell signal (searching drains a lot of battery), if you got the 4.3 update, this could be one of the bugs in the update. Try going into airplane mode and see what the drain is in 2 hours.

Ok I will try that. No, I had 4/4 bars with 4G where I tested it.
