Battery draining really fast?

About a week ago, I started to notice that my phone (samsung galaxy s2) started to drain really fast. When it's fully charged and idle, it drains about 8-15% of battery every hour. I did 2 factory resets already and nothing happened. Sometimes, I would only use it to text, but when I put it idle mode, it still drains a lot of battery. So, can you please help me??? My phone is running ICS (4.0.3) by the way. I checked the battery status, and I found that Android OS is using almost 90% of my battery. So, any help? Wi-fi is off,,,no app is installed, but still drains a lot of battery. Please help!!!
I don't use any task killer, too.

Welcome thebeast to AF! :Ciao:
Here's some battery saving tips:
Shut off 3G/4G when not needed
Reduce brightness and screen timeout when phone is idle
Turn off auto sync
In areas of bad service turn on airplane mode
Those are some if those don't help it may be time for a new battery :)

Welcome to the forums thebeast08 :)

If you have Google Now, disable it, also disable Lattitude, this can cause a major issue with performance, and battery consumption.

Holding down the Home button will tell you if you have google now, if nothing comes up then you dont have it.

Otherwise Lattitude is in the Google maps app, you go into its settings and there is a separate section called Lattitude, just disable the things under it.

That should help you out a little bit, if not follow what StarScream said too, otherwise, you could also download JuiceDefender it basically limits certain things on your phone and saves battery life :)

Welcome thebeast :)

You can also check out the S2 forums here for some feedback from other S2 owners. I would've have posted a link for you but I'm unsure which carrier you are with. :)
