Help Battery dying irrationally fast...

Basically it's under moderate - heavy web browsing with 'battery saving mode' on the browser on. And the display is at 0% brightness WITH the dim display option on so the brightness is essentially at the minimum it can be while web browsing yet when I go into the battery usage the display still shows up to be using up ~40% of the total battery. Im coming from an LG esteem with a 3000 mah battery which easily lasted me all day with extremely heavy web browsing @ 50% brightness , and im BARELY squeezing 10 hours a day with the Maxx with 0% brightness. What gives?

I was having the same problem - battery dying much faster than it should have with moderate to heavy use. My mistake... I waited longer than the 14 day return policy before call VZN to get a replacement so when I did, I received a used phone (good quality but still a disappointment). I spoke to a service tech who stated MOTO has put out a bulletin that the RAZR Maxx battery level indicator has been showing false percentages of life left and an update was supposed to be coming out.

Have you run your phone down to dead to verify this is not the issue you're experiencing? For me, it was not and I did get a phone with a faulty battery. At this moment, I'm in the process of backing everything up before switching to the replacement to verify that was the problem.

I should've acted on it sooner but I just wasn't sure if it was my heavy use or a problem so I waited to cycle the battery a number of times... then lost track of time.

I got 11 hours and it died. So from my understanding I should take it back to Verizon and get a replacement phone? I do have the warranty thing.
