BATTERY DYING!

Jeff Allen

Newbie
For months, my Gear S3 lasted days before needing a charge. However, after a recent internal Gear update, my battery can't last more than 6 hours! I know of 1 person who has a Gear S3 and it is happening to him too.

I'm tired of factory resets as it destabilizes my ability to use Samsung Pay and, heck, I'm not even sure that will solve the issue.

Why is no one else posting about this?

How old is your watch? It could just be that the battery is on its way out. I had the same thing happen to me with a Moto 360 after 18 months or so.

Why is no one else posting about this?

Probably because it's an isolated issue.

6 months but that shouldn't matter. Two people in NJ both had 48+ hour battery life until the latest software update. Anything's possible but a reasonable person would suspect the update. Let's go with that for now.

So, how do we roll back?

I'm pretty sure you can't roll back. I couldn't find very much about flashing the firmware on these things either. I think a reset is going to be your best bet for now.

I have a 3 week old watch doing it to me
If its updated it did it automatically without my knowledge. I'm looking for tips to conserve battery

Same issue. I updated yesterday, despite my better judgment, now lasts 7 hours or so. The description of the update even said it's going to fix issues with battery drain. The irony.
9 months old
Was lasting about 2 days

Nothing extra loaded on watch except watch face.
For the love, Samsung, at least give us option to roll back
