Battery glitch??

Bengar722

Lurker
I used a different charger to charge my phone last night because the one that is provided with the Galaxy s5 was left at a friends. When I went to bed I plugged in the charger, and when I woke up it said it was still at 2%...I then restarted the phone and the battery said 100%. Does anyone know what exactly might have happened here???

Thanks

Don't have a clue...

but will hazard a guess.

The borrowed charger was most likely a much older style with low current capability.
As such, it probably did not have enough current to push the charger circuit over the limit while charging.

Restarting the phone allowed the phone to sense the battery's true condition.

Your phone is alright, just get your OEM charger back ASAP and all will be good to go.
