Help Battery goes from 60% to 100% instantly when plugged in?

Okay, fellow Samsungers - my wife's SG2 was working fine until the screen flickered when plugged in and the battery level would go from say 60% to 100% instantly and sometimes the screen flickers. Once unplugged the battery goes back to show the correct percentage. I tried the cord in my phone and it works fine without problems. Should I replace the battery as that might be the problem? Reviews on Amazon have suggested replacing the battery has helped a multitude of problems regarding the battery.

We plug in a lot when the charge starts going down to ensure we have full capacity. I understand it is fine to do so with the new batteries of today.

Any help you can give is much appreciated.

You can replace the battery. If it charges fast. You can manually take out the battery. Then put it back in and boot up. And the % will be different but more accurate! It's always good to take your battery out once or twice a week. Gibe it a try if it fails get a new battery. I'm on day 4 of my new 2500mAh extended slim battery. Its a little bit better than stock.
