Help Battery Indicator Static

Hello. I have had this phone for only a week and I love it so far the only issue popped up today for no reason my battery indicator does not change..either way after charge or use. I reboot the phone and it gives me the correct charge level but stays frozen on whatever level the phone starts up with. I turned off quick start I factory reset and no change. I dont understand why this happened all of a sudden. It was perfect until today. Any help at all would-be awesome thanks!

The HTC Battery icon is kind of finicky I've noticed...
It doesn't show how much is used up very well. It will show its full, then jump to 3/4ths dead usually.

Are you rooted at all? Are you still stock?

It is still stock, I am not that advanced yet haha i dont know the first thing about smart phones its my first one

Today I want you to fully charge the battery, and play with it and see if the battery moves. Go to menu > settings > power periodically, and see if the battery meter in there moves at all

after searching thru some stuff i let the phone power down by letting the battery go then i charged it with my computer (phone off) over night, and so far today it has seemed pretty accurate, the battery is decreasing at a normal rate. I wonder if i just had to do that? I will definatley try this again with the wall charger to see if it makes a diff. But as of now i'm a happy camper! Thanks for the replies and help, I really appreciate it.
