Help Battery Issues after updating to ICS

Hey... I'm Using Samsung Galaxy SII, which I brought from Bahrain, (I forgot how to check that code related to my region).. about 2-3 months back when the update for my phone released to update it to ICS, I did it and have been since suffering with a battery that lasts max 5 hours.!!

Can i expect an update to rectify this.? or is there anything I can do to fix this.?! I'm not a very techie guy, so you'll have to explain it to me like a 5 yr old!

My battery drain was really bad under V4.0.4. I deactivated my Google+ account and stopped it from syncing and it has sorted my issues out.
