Help battery issues and clearing partition

So after updating to lollipop, my battery life is absolutely horrendous. my phone went from 100 to 65 overnight with no use. The Battery page says wifi used 85% of that. What gives? On Top of that, I have no option to clear cache partition. Verizon, GS5, 5.0

Got cache wiped. But I don't think that's causing the wifi issue.

If you don't have to have "Push notifications" , why not just turn the radios off when the phone is idle and not being used?

that is the way I do it, my phone gives 2 or 3 days per charge.

the wife's phone goes about 8 days for a 50% charge level, at which point I throw it on the Qi pad and top it off again. Her phone is a 'phone', nothing else.
