Battery Issues causing delay?

After that tweet bmx posted one that said the battery use on 3g was about what they currently are on smartphones, but that the bionic was even worse.

It's been my experience that a reflash sometimes is just a cosmetic fix to make it appear that the phone has better battery life (instead of going from full bars to 3/4ths bars in 30 minutes, it goes to 3/4 bars in 2 hours and then anything after 3/4 bars drains faster so you get the appearance that the battery life is improved). Either that or the phone is tweaked so you're not getting all the performance you paid for so that battery life looks respectable.

i thought this would happen as soon as they announced the size of the battery......my incredible all over again a year later....

With as many devices as you can use to charge your device available, from computers to car chargers, exactly what are some of you planning on doing with your cell phones that requires such long battery life?

I had planned on having a MOBILE phone......if it always has to be attached to something, it ceases to be mobile....I cant go through a full day of normal use with my inc....frustrating, I was looking forward to this phone, but it has a larger screen with barely a larger battery, I could see it coming but was hoping for some sort of power management miracle brought on by 1 more of tech advancements....but not to be.

So I am atill wondering why HTC continues using smaller capacity batteries, just like their older phones. The Thunderbolt is only 1400mah and the Inspire is even smaller at 1230mah. If it is to keep physical slimness, their phones are already thicker than most to begin with so adding a mm or two isn't going to make that big a difference in the end and their userbase is more enthusiast driven, so they would want a bigger battery, but it seems HTC is going the opposite direction. Even the super slim Galaxy S2 has a 1650mah battery and the relatively thin Atrix (to HTC) is a big 1930mah. People can talk all they want about software optimization for better battery life, but the physical capacity of the battery ultimately determines how long the phone will last. I can't really understand what the real reason behind it is. Maybe some stubborn and anti-progressive design decision. Even third-party accessory makers can make bigger capacity batteries, so it shouldn't be a supply problem. Smaller batteries are less explosive?

I remember this being brought up when the TB was being demoed at a trade show, but figured beta problem. At least they did not release to public with sucky battery life...... yet....

These people keep making the same mistakes. I believe they do not test the units before announcing a phone.

Buying another battery is an option, but it shouldn't come down to having to do that. They want 700+ retail for a device, and it lasts, from the sound of it, 6 hours. I am in the air force, am always running around, and a terrible battery just isn't acceptable. I don't have constant access to a charger so im kind of SOL. I wont be buying this phone if the battery issues aren't fixed.
