Help Battery issues-Charging time is exceptionally high

Hi forum,

From last few days, the time my S3 takes to get 100% charged has gone to about 10 hours. Some times, the charging doesn't even go beyond a specific % and just stops. When I d/c the phone from the charger, it doesn't show that its on batter from last few minutes but shows the old status that its on batter since last 1 day and so on. I am not able to think about a reasonable cause for this behavior. It wasn't there before and just started about 3 weeks ago. Any ideas/suggestions? I am planning to try changing the battery and see if the same thing gets repated but I am traveling right now so can't do that at the moment. Any help/guidance/suggestion is appreciated.

There's a trick to recalibrate the gs2 battery so hopefully it will work on the s3 as well. Try turning your phone off and then charging to 100%, remove from charge and then remove the battery. Leave the battery out for 2 or 3 minutes and then replace.

are you using the supplied charge wire? ive tried some cheap ones i have cos there longer and they do take a lot longer must be better quality wiring maybe gold coated etc?
