Help Battery issues

So i just got my s2 yesterday and i need some help, i charged my phone from 3%-68% during a full days work (8hrs) with minimal usage (facebook+txting) is that normal? im charging as we speak and it has charged only 12% from 36%to 48% in 45 minutes. is this typical with the s2? (keep in mind, i am still on facebook and txting) thank you

USB doesn't charge with anywhere as much current as through the mains, meaning it charges a lot more slowly, especially when you're doing things on the phone at the same time.

Charge it through the mains and you won't have this problem.
 
when i get home (where the main is) i will charge it with it, is it going to make a big difference? in other words, from 0%-100% how long should it take on a normal basis? im just trying to make sure the phone/battery i got does not need replacement. thanks for the help

I can't be 100% sure as I haven't timed it, but I'm pretty sure my battery went from ~15% to 100% in less than two hours last time my battery was low.

I usually charge my phone overnight so it's always 100% when I wake up.

I do know that charging at the mains is a hell of a lot faster than over USB though. I get about 12% an hour over USB.
 
Hmmm okay I appreciate the help.i will test out the difference bet ween the two. I was just concerned because this is my first smart i. phone and what not

The battery issue is resolved with 2.3.4 update.
