Help battery issues

Quite recently my dad got me this tablet and it has been working fine. However, a few days ago I noticed that my battery had drained quicker than I expected it to (not being used). I then turned it off and on and found that my battery level increased massively. The same thing happened today however when I now charge this tablet, I have to turn it off and back on to see what percentage my battery is really at.

The year before, I owned another Samsung device which had much worse battery problems but it also did battery jumps when I turned it off and back on. The battery of that device was swollen however I had it for more than a year and overcharged it a lot as I did not know it was a bad thing to do. In comparison, I have owned this tablet since November 2014 and have hardly overcharged it. Any idea what is causing this?

When you look under Battery , what does it tell you is using it? Do you have stuff like Google Now on? What's your typical usage pattern?

Also, if you look below you'll see Similar Threads. Might find something there related to your problem.

Only Google services which uses 6% only. I have been using pretty much the same apps since I first got this tablet. One new app though was McAfee Security which uses 4%.
Also, how do I post screenshots I have taken. They show the battery graph with the jumps.

How do I convert my screenshots to URL's?
You'd have to upload to cloud storage like dropbox or Google drive and then share them. If you only plan on posting them here, it's much easier so simply attach the file using the upload button.

When you are recharging, do you charge to 100%? By charging to 100%, Android clears the previous battery stats and starts fresh. It should report the battery more accurately.

Off to bed for now, going to power it down properly and will report what the battery is at when I wake up. Ty for assistance so far :)

It was 99% when I went to bed and when I woke up it was 96%. That isn't bad actually but I have power saving mode on and the percent drops every couple of minutes. Is that normal?
