Battery level 83% / Up time 39:24

WTH is draining my battery? I'm not even using it, it's just sitting on the table. I rebooted it around 40 minutes ago and battery level is down to 83%!

It dropped down to 81% in the time it took to type the first paragraph.

If I look at the activity log in Juice Defender, this is what I see right now:

12:14 AutoSync ping
12:14 Connected: WiFi
12:14 WiFi enabled
12:14 Screen on (user present)
12:14 Disconnected
12:13 WiFi disabled
12:13 Screen off
12:11 AutoSync ping
12:11 Screen on (user present)
12:11 Schedule stop
12:11 AutoSync ping
12:10 Screen off
12:10 Schedule start
12:03 2162ms elapsed
12:03 AutoSync ping
12:03 Connected: WiFi
12:03 WiFi enabled
12:03 Screen on (user present)
12:01 Disconnected
12:01 WiFi disabled
12:01 Screen off

And now it's down to 78%!!! It drops approx 1% every 2 minutes. This just started recently. The other day it was at 83%. I hooked it up to the charger, a few minutes later it said 1%. Huh? 5 minutes later it was at 100%.

Down to 77%. Dropped 23% in under an hour. NOT good.

What do you have your sync set to? 30 seconds? Something is doing a sync ping often enough that it looks as if you're waiting for takeoff notice from the tower. Find the app that's doing that and either set the sync time back to something reasonable or bury the app in a block of lead. Syncing transmits, so it uses battery power.

I'm also getting this message quite a bit:

Data allowed by 3rd party app: Tether

...but I don't have any app called Tether, nor is there a running app called that.

I'm way out in the country, nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away so no one is stealing from me.

Can't find any app that has a ping setting
