Help Battery level Indicator does not work

sachin_mt

Lurker
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Ace s5830i
Android Gingebread OS

I bought this phone a month ago.It worked fine for 1 month.

Now the bettery level indicator does not show as charging even though the phone is charging. So if I remove the battery and set it again,it starts showing that it is charging, but now if I remove the charger, still it shows as if it is charging.

Once the phone is fully charged,it still keeps showing 100% battery even though the phone is used the whole day.

So the battery level indicator is not working.
When I remove the battery and put it back it updates correctly,so looks like I have to remove battery and put it back again and again to update the battery level indicator.

So is there any software update available or should I take the phone to the service center.

Hi,
If it's a new phone, I certainly would go back to the shop. That's just my personal opinion. There might be other solutions, but why try all kinds of things when the phone is still on warranty? After all, you've bought it only one month ago.
