Help Battery Life Help!!

Hi all,
I purchased the Samsung S5 Active 9 days ago. It's a great phone except the battery life on mine is terrible. I know other people who get a day and a half to two days out of their phone. I would be happy just to get through a whole day. I got a new battery, and that did not solve the problem. I also contacted Samsung who told me to run it in safe mode. I did this and the battery life was basically the same. Wifi, Bluetooth were both off with no running apps. It was just sitting in sleep mode and only lasted 12 hours. Am I crazy? Should it not last much longer than this?
Next they have told me to do a factory reset on it which I'm trying now. I'm trying to find out how long this should last...is this unreasonable that I should expect it to last more than 12 hours??
 
I think in happiness of buying new phone, you have started using it extensively and have loaded some heavy apps. Try to optimize your use and kill the unwanted apps. I hope you will feel happy about your decision of buying this phone :)

Thanks for the reply. I tried everything with that one...running in safe mode, doing a factory reset and could still only get max of 10-12 hours when I was sleeping. They replaced the battery but that did nothing. So they replaced my phone! Yippee. I now get on average 35 hrs on my battery...so it wasn't me...it wasn't me or my apps it was the phone. Anyway thanks for the reply!
