Hi.. I'm thinking of switching from Blackberry to Samsung S II. My email usage is very heavy.. so naturally I want to keep EDGE on always and keep on checking mails every few minutes.. how will that affect the battery? Will it last the whole day with Wifi/Edge always on and email checks every few minutes?

yes, my phone consistently lasts 24 hours with wifi/3g on all the time, widgets on the homescreen updating every couple of hours, push mail, instant messaging, games, texting of course 
if u've read about battery issues on this phone, its an early firmware problem. if u buy it now, chances are it'll already include newer firmware (running android 2.3.4) but if not, u can manually flash the update.
