Battery life on the Shift?

Is the battery life any better on the Shift than it is on the Evo? I have the 4G, WiFi and GPS turned off, but my EVO still dies in 6 - 8 hours. I am thinking about upgrading to the Shift so I hope the battery life is better! Please let me know your experience...
