Help Battery life problem

My phone (galaxy s4) has been acting really strange, it is draining trough my battery like something is using it all up. I have tried things on this forum and other forums to help ( force stop my apps, download a battery saver, Restart multiple times ) but nothing seems to be working! The only thing I have fixed so far is that my system can now show me how much battery life I hve left : 90% is 3hrs worth of time, without opening any apps or even leaving it on.

Anyway, I have had this phone for 1-3 years or so, and it's begining to feel like it has an illness or something. I don't want to factory reset it, but it seems like the only choice.

If anyone can help my weird curse on technology, thank you so much.

Edit : my curse has gotten to the only thing I could rely on, now it says 5hr for 87%

Killing apps actually makes things worse, as do those "battery savers"-

You can look in Settings/Battery to see what is using the most battery and if anything looks out of the ordinary, also you can install GSam Battery Monitor to get more detailed information on what is using power.
It's possible that your battery is just shot, they don't last forever and after a certain number of charge cycles they lose capacity. Fortunately your battery is removable in the S4 so you can take it out for inspection and if necessary replacement. Pull it out and see if it's swollen, if it is that means it's bad and you should replace it.

I've installed GSam, and the thing that uses the most battery is......

...GSam. Ok. Moving on.

A bunch of system stuff (Android system, Kernel, Task Manager) are after GSam, and then google services.

Next up, we have lolipop. Definitely can't uninstall that.

Google play store, at a whopping percentage of 0.9%, followed up with applock at 0.7%

And the rest is either offline or a system thing I can't deal with.

Though, I noticed my apps are totaling up to 55% of the battery usage. Is this normal?

Also, I have looked at the battery and It seems to be pretty normal. I was expecting battery acid to be released or something but it is comepletely fine. I'm starting to panic, since I don't want to live with an s3 (backup phone) For a while, and like other people, I play Pokemon Go a lot, and Pokemon Go isn't supported on the s3.

GSam was probably at the top of the list because you were messing around with it. Otherwise nothing you mentioned seems unusual.
Li-ion batteries don't release acid, but if you see anything coming out of one that's really bad and it should be (safely) disposed of right away.
So your battery lies flat on the table and isn't bulging or swelling at all? Even if it appears ok visually it could still be worn enough to have lost some of its capacity. If you can get your hands on another battery to try that would be the best way to find out.
