Help battery life problem

From your home screen press and hold the home button. This is the task manager. Press remove all. That stops running apps and should help your battery life.

Go to Settings > Application Manager > All > Scroll down > Look for Samsung > Tap on the following apps:

Samsung account, Samsung apps, Samsung backup, Samsung backup provider, Samsung data relay, Samsung push service, Samsung syncadapters

> Disable

I think the issue is that the phone is always staying awake - this is shown on the screen grab shown. I'd be unwilling to disable loads of stuff just because it comes from Samsung - I'm not sure what the logic of doing this is.

First of all I'd do the < switch off / remove the battery / wait 5 minutes / re-start > to make sure that doing this doesn't clear the problem. Then I'd look at the installed apps, because it usually turns out that this kind of unusually high power drain is caused by a rogue app, or incompatibility between apps.

Installing an advanced battery monitor is generally recommended - the stock one is usually good enough, but some others generate more in-depth reports. One that I've seen recommended several times is GSam Battery Monitor.
