Root Battery life sucks since ICS

ever since ICS my battery life sucks. by 4pm i'm at about 20% with barely any use. I'm also rooted so I thought that should have helped.
Its definitely something running in the background. i've tried task killers, battery savers and so on.
I dont want a bunch of battery savers and task killers installed on my phone to add to the clutter.
any recommendations?

have you done a factory data reset yet? I did my own trial with a before doing a fdr and after an fdr. Battery life after the fdr is much better among other things being improved.

... a Factory Data Reset is a must. Task Killers are know to EAT batteries.

Since you are root-ed you may have introduced an error that is causing the problem.

I agree. I went to ICS, did an FDR, re-root-ed the phone and battery sucks. I am running Go Launcher EX just like I was on GB, Cirecle Battery battery widget and no other battery monitors or task killers. I will hit the Home button and close all the apps that appear and occasionally go into Go Launcher app drawer and close down all the "Running Apps".

I hope there is some update or something that can be done to improve battery life.
