Battery life with new Facebook?

Anyone else noticing lower battery life since the FB update? Push notifications are awesome, but i just checked my network useage after an hour and a half or so off the charger, and FB is using a lot of data, basically the only thing that is.

I noticed my battery life was bad recently but didn't think of facebook

Go into spare parts and check your network useage. On mine fb was huge.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. It's one of the reason why I FC FB after using it for a while - I tend to use FB on my computer more than anything.

While the Push notification is nice, it really sucks a lot of data for no apparent reason. I'm beginning to think that I might just get rid of the app completely since LP has its own FB widget that I can use.....

Do you guys leave the chat open when you aren't using it? I usually press "Go Offline" when I am done, but that's because I don't like getting msgs from ppl on FB unless I'm actually on it at the time. Battery life seems to be about the same for me so I figure it must be from leaving the chat open?

I got 3% on facebook but I don't think its ever been on the list before, my display still sucks like 55% of it
