My wife has a Samsung S4- GT-I9505 UK running GiffGaff, The battery life used to be appalling, so I took off the lockscreen and home pictures and downloaded Pitch Black wallpaper.
Result !!!. Not only is the screen easier to see icons, the battery life is now absolutely brilliant. So good, I downloaded the same Pitch Black wallpaper onto my Note 4. That has improved too.
