Battery life

Looking at picking up the Razr HD for my wife and I am curious do you think the Maxx is really worth 100$ just for the larger battery?

Thanks for the input.

Depends on your use habits and if you are away from charging options most of the day. For me, it's worth it. Check deals at Amazon Wireless and Target, and Best Buy will match. If you are Best Buy and VZW customer, BB had a deal where you can also get $50 back when you upgrade, if you signed up earlier this month.

It definitely is worth it. Peace of mind. You never know if you'll ever become stranded somewhere and it may be your key to surviving. Ok I'm being a little dramatic...

Yes, I think it is worth it. Plus with the Maxx you get 32 GB internal memory instead of 16 GB.

As IHateMyTreo said, you can get better deals than at the Verizon store. The price difference at Amazon or price matching at Best Buy is probably going to be $50 between the Razr Maxx HD and regular Razr HD. The battery and memory upgrade is certainly worth $50, IMO.

How much is it worth to never have to worry about needing a charger until the next day?

I didn't realize that the Maxx had more memory.

I suppose since this will be my wife's phone paying the extra money to hear her not complain about charging is worth it.

Thanks

I have regular RHD with 2530mAh battery and it's more than enough to get through a full day use. I really need to push it hard to drain below 50% by the end of day. So I don't think having +30% bigger battery is worth $100. But if price difference is $50 or less, why not? Having more battery life is always good thing.

HD Maxx is worth it...2 full days b/t charge means never having to use a car charger! And no plugging up at airports, etc. I haven't even bought a car charger yet for mine. $100 is cheap for the convenience imo.

It's well worth the money, much more battery life plus double the memory. It's a no brainer. Nowadays they have great deals on it. I paid $149 for my Maxx HD a few weeks ago at Best Buy (they matched Amazon's price).

Pretty much what the other forum members have said. Depends on you and your wife's usage habits mostly and that BBY will price match online retailers. I went with the RMHD cause I didnt want to have to worry about running out of juice since I was coming from a Galaxy Nexus. The extra 16GB was big for me IMO bc I would rather use internal storage similar to the way the Nexus' are set up than to buy a SD card. Best Buy does have a $50 GC promo and combine that with Moto's $50 GC thats $100. You decide, but either way you wont be disappointed.

Having the extra internal storage made the Maxx the winner to me. The 50$ Google Play is the cherry on top. 150$ on Amazon so I will pick it up for her there.

I didn't know about the $50 of Google Play credit! How do I get that? Just got my MAXX HD and love it. I am on the phone 8+ hours a day, so I am excited for the extended battery life.
