Without knowing your model it is difficult to say. Does your phone have a removable battery? If so, many aftermarket "extended" batteries are available. These will offer longer battery life but at a cost of being larger and heavier (often coming with a replacement back for your phone that can fit the larger battery). Also, many people opt to simply buy a second battery and a battery charger. In this scenario you charge one battery while the other is in your phone....and you can carry the spare with you during the day and swap batteries as needed. Many chargers come with a 2nd battery. You can find them on eBay for many phones.
Also, there are many ways to reduce the drain on your battery. Turning down the screen brightness is a big one. Also, using wifi as much as possible instead of 3g/4g connections (as they use more power). Finally, the phone defaults to sync tons of services you may not need. Things like constant facebook updates, instant syncing of photos, Google+, etc. Go into your sync settings and turn off anything you don't need. This will save you quite a bit of battery life. I only sync my browser, contacts, gmail and calendar. The rest of the things I can update as needed.
