That's with all devices, the usage of the screen is the main factor of battery drain. If your lucky, you could get about 2 to 3 hours of on-screen time if your brightness isn't set on maximum all the time

my britghtness is set on minimum all day and i dont understand why it is 40% now even i havent changed any of my setting.

Don't stress over the screen percentage, it could simply be higher because other apps have used less of the battery up.

It's nothing I'd be concernaed about unless you were getting severe battery drain and it was really high percentage wise.

what do you think tell me,i charged last night on 11 PM and right now it is 1 PM and my percentage of battery is 76. is it good?

So you had it discharging from 11pm - 1pm (14 hours) and you were losing 1.7%/hour. Your good dude don't worry bout it.

It depends on what you were doing with your phone in that time. Was the phone idle? Was a data connection on? Were there applications (like email/facebook) synchronizing data in the background? Were you playing games on it? Were you browsing the web? etc.

Look at how long the screen was on (in battery settings, tap on screen and see how long it was on for). Look at the top 3-4 entries in the battery settings and see what used up battery life in that time frame.

I suppose it's obvious really, but since I started turning off wi-fi (and cellular data) overnight and when not needed during the day, my battery life improved noticeably.

Incidentally, since updating to 4.4.4 I have found no discernible improvement in battery life. In fact, apart from the procedure I mentioned above, it seems to be slightly less than before. I suppose I can live with it though!

The Nexus doesn't have a great battery. Only thing that can save it from dying fast is location off, WiFi off, screen dim and change the network whenever LTE doesn't exist. That way its not searching for a better speed.

Yes, I keep Wi-Fi off unless I need it, location is on 'battery saving' and screen is on 5%, unless I'm outdoors and it is bright, in which case I can quickly opt for 50% or 100%.
