Battery not charging over 67%

Recently my phone hasnt been charging to 100%. It stops charging at 67%.
I've tried unplugging the charger and plugging it back in to try and boost it but nothing. Ive also tried removing the battery and cleaning the contacts but still no difference.
I know its not reaching 100% as I have Android Booster Installed and a symbol appears when its fully charged and this hasnt shown for a few days now.

Anyone know whats up with my battery or phone??

You may want to try a software update given the nature of the problem you are facing.

I've checked for updates and none.

Downloaded Current Widget and left phone for half hour and still at 67%. The mAh reading reading is 758mAh and has been on this for half hour.

Also whilst my phone was charging the back of it was too hot too touch. I had to wait for the phone to cool down before I could hold it.

Ok, you can try a new battery, but I think you'll need to put the phone in for repair.

As suggested above, you might wanna try a software update (if there is one available), but it's probably a H/W issue.

Phoned Vodafone up who said its a possible Battery problem.
Going to buy a new battery and try it. Vodafone are paying me back for the battery.

I'll keep this updated when I get a new battery

Please do keep us updated, however as a side note you said that there were no update available, have you simply tried performing a "Repair" via PC Companion to reload the current version of firmware?

Ive done a complete restore as my phone crashed last night so had to restore phone.
Charged it up again and still not fully charged. Buying a battery soon so Ill test that.

Just an Update..
Decided to try another approach rather than a new battery. I drained my battery until my phone went off, charged it fully (or at least full) then drained it again. My phone now charges too 100%.

All working fine now :D
