Help Battery not quite fully charged

I'm using the supplied cable and charger to charge my phone, and the system battery percentage says the phone goes to 100%

If I switch the phone off while it's still plugged in it'll then charge for another minute or so. Is this normal? Thanks for any answers

Yes. While your phone is on, it doesn't really fully charge to 100%. Therefore, once you turn it off, it'll take a couple mins to reach 100%.

I forgot to mention that the reason I was asking is because I have a battery case which isn't charging itself unless my phone is off.

The case is supposed to allow the phone to charge first which it does, then draw charge for itself. This never happens unless my phone is off so I'm trying to work out if the case is faulty.

Anyone else has this happen?
