Battery percentage app.

Are you sure the option isn't available when you go into your battery menu, but just not turned on?

That's not an option on any stock Android / Nexus devices that I know of. It's usually added by manufacturer skins like TouchWiz, Sense, etc.

As long as we are on the subject I want to ask if the battery percentage that Android gives us is the "true" percentage always. The reason I ask is that I have a crappy battery that is always a pain to charge. It can sit for 3 hours and not budge for 55% for example, then I unplug the devise and plug it in somewhere else and it shoots up to charged in five minutes!!! I know the battery is utter crap, but could the percentages that Android is giving me be flawed too?

I think it just estimates the percentage from the voltage mate

Exactly that. And the calibration can go off, especially with an aging battery.

It's not an android thing: my daughter has an old iPhone and the battery meter can be all over the place. The only reason we didn't see it the same with feature phones was that they just showed a few bars for the battery and that was it.

I see that gsam ,battery notifier BT and battery reborn seem to be the most popular?

Battery notifier has a pro version any thoughts?
I think the pro version just let's you install themes (different colours and fonts for the percentage) from Play Store

OK I will try "show battery percentage" so far I have been using Gsam and like it wish it had more themes I probably have tried 10 different ones in the past 3 days and so far Gsam is the easiest one to read ...

Umm. Did miss something??? This wasn't there before!!! % in battery icon....

Seems to me that showed up on my LG G3 when I updated to Lollipop, that's why I mentioned it earlier in this thread.

Is that showing up now, without using a battery app?

Ya I uninstalled my gsam app too make sure. Rebooted phone and it still is there... Only thing is its too small... Off to the side of icon would be better... Oh well go back to gsam
