Battery Performance with Widget Locker?

ODog2323

I've been running Widget Locker for a few days now, and it seems as though my battery is going a bit more quickly than before.

Of course, I rooted my EVO right about the same time I installed WL, so failing the fact the rooting process did something to knock off battery performance, Widget Locker is the prime suspect.

Anyone have any thought or experience with WL and battery life?

I did the same....I was getting about 40 hrs on a charge before and now it'll barely make it to midnight.....I believe widget locker does use more battery. People have claimed so in the market.

I love widget locker. it hasn't hindered my battery consumption one bit, so far as I can tell. And I constantly monitor my battery life

widgetlocker user here, no battery drain for me and battery efficiency was my main focus when i set up my phone (rooted, s-offed, tried several roms, undervolted, overclocked, and have tried different radios and kernels etc..)

maybe it's a better idea to share what settings we're each using (what widgets are on your lockscreen for instance) with it and see if they're relevant.

(i would if i could, but I forgot my phone at home!)

all i can say is that widgetlocker is pretty well coded, and IMO it isn't a CPU hog or an app to worry about battery wise.

Haven't noticed any ill effects on my Droid X since I installed WL. Have 4 sliders, unlock, mute on the bottom, GMail and Google Voice above that with Camera in between them, Navigation and Foursquare shortcuts with 3-button Power Widget between them (WiFi toggle, Airplane Mode and Brightness toggle), then Digital Clock Widget with an ICE link next to it on the top. Love WL!
