Help Battery/phone sucks

Ok, so i have the samsung galaxy portal/spica phone

and i like the OS, got it rooted and everything, but my battery life is terrible

i seen peoples posts saying there phone lasts a day to 3 days

mine lasts 1 hour...3 at most

I thought it might be an app i have, so i uninstalled all of the ones i downloaded, no improvement

so i tried running on only 2g and no internet usage....no improvement, it actually drained quicker

I used power saving apps, but nothing

I can charge it all night till it states "100% Charged"

but it will die in a couple hours even if i dont use it

Anyone had this issue and fixed it? if so

have you tried to calibrate your battery?
I use batterycalibration from the market and my battery lasts for 3-4 days on medium usage and 2 days for heavy use.
 
FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!!

it was cyanogen mod 7

i was wondering why my phone was always hot, even when i didnt use it

So i thought it might be a program running all the time, and when i uninstalled it all except the cyanogenmod

Downgraded to an earlier version of it, and my phone has been on for 20 hours with still quite some time to go, maybe it was just that mod used a service too much and killed my battery

but yeah, cyanogenmod 7 alpha is a battery killer for me
