Root Battery prob I think

I let my phone discharge all the way and I turnt it back on while it was on the charger it said 0% of course so I left to go get something which was like 10 mins and it still say 0% it now been 15 mins

Try turning it off and charge it for about an hour. Then turn it on and see what progress it is at.
Is your charging light on?
