Battery Problem?? Need some advise - tips - pointers!

Need some direction pls. New owner of used ZTE ZMAX Pro phone. Got it from guy that won an iPhone and decided to keep it. Sold the ZTE after about month. Have had it for about 2 weeks and really like it - until today.

I work nights and was on the phone pretty steady during the night. Got home this morning and it died. It was 100% at 10pm and lasted until about 2pm. Charged it up 100%. Listed to some music for about 20 minutes and set it down. About 8pm it was at 5%. So it went from 100% at 2pm to 5% at 8pm = 6 hours later.

Any suggestions? Any apps that help reduce battery drain? Any apps that allow you to switch off running apps that would conserve the battery? Really up until today I had excellent battery health with no issues. It was a MetroPCS phone - now unlocked and running on Straight Talk. If there are any issues how long is the warranty? Any idea if I need to go back to MetroPCS or deal directly with ZTE?

Do you have Facebook installed. That's a known battery hog. Reset network setting
 
Found it just now. Not really rocket science. Wifi we all know drains battery. I too got a fast battery drain after the first update. And it went downhill from there.

Before the 1st update I just have the battery saver on and the battery lasts for days. Yesterday, I tried turning off wifi and data. I actually was gonna do the airplane mode on but I won't receive a call if I do that.

So wifi and data off. Went to bed, forget about it and just now when I check my battery. I think it is only down 1%. With wifi and data on, overnight, by the time I check my battery it is mostly down 10%.

So ya if you are not using your phone for awhile just turn off wifi and data. Battery saver on.

My location is always off anyway, so is BT, unless I have to use them.
